About Us

Youth for health is a youth action oriented initiative with the sole aim of promoting health and wellbeing of the youth hence creating healthier societies in Africa and the world at large. The key goal is to achieve SDG 3 in the youth through youth engagement and action.
In Ghana and Africa, this movement was initiated by ICON HEALTH SYSTEM in partnership with key organizations and individuals interested in the wellbeing of the youth and the society. Though this movement has always being a key aspect of health promotion, Icon Health System is igniting and revamping the focus on youth health as its main youth outreach from 2018 to 2030 in order to fight current health issues destroying young people in Africa and the world at large.
Issues such as the ever-increasing number of new STIs, abuse of drugs like tramadol, teenage pregnancy and ignorance about health issues among the youth prompted the ignition of this comprehensive project that would engage the youth in awareness creation and advocacy.
It maximizes the importance of youth volunteerism, outreaches and media in promoting health and protecting our environs.
Through the development of the initiative, youth clubs have been formed in secondary schools, tertiary intuitions and social media. Young people in these groups ask questions and discuss ideas, share knowledge and engage in simple campaigns and outreaches to promote health in their various societies. All activities and projects of the various clubs are being controlled and monitored by health professionals and experienced counsellors engaged by Icon Health System and partners of the project.
